I could do with some help!, Advice or a tow truck to come and take this Mk4 away! I bought it today from a salvage yard as a working and tidy V plate 2.0 GTI, with full heated leather trim, i have always wanted one so you can imagine for 1300 quid I ripped the guys arm off. Now because of the recent weather the car wouldn't start, flat battery i test drove it and it was sweet as a nut, so the guy put a new battery on it and i was on my merry way, I got back home which was around 40 miles away and all was fine, I then noticed when i got back into the car and drove, it began to misfire a little at low revs, say...when i dropped down into 2nd at he lights and pulled off. I went into a car supplier as the the brake fluid was low to come out what i thought was a flat battery, so I toddled back into the shop and bought a battery for £50, spent half an hour in the snow trying to put the battery on, when i finally got the battery in i was happy at thought that my beast of a MK4 would start...........NOPE, just ignition lights! i bump started the car and it started up very slowly and was misfiring off its face! i managed to get home, once i turned the engine off again it wouldn't start, im gonna change the spark plugs tomorrow bit is there anyone out there that has herd or come across this problem?
