Grumbling noise from boot when unlocking(Newbie asking for help)

Hi everyone i hope someone can give a Newbie some help. When i unlock the car there is a grumbling noise that seems to go on for ages coming from the boot. It only does it when unlocking not locking

Ive a got a feeling its the fuel flap locking but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong

It's more likely to be the central locking pump complaining

have you checked your boot recently could be a tramp in there trying to get out you havn't been to france lately and picked up a immigrant ?

na seriously its just your boot lock messing about shouldnt worry to much if it dosnt affect anything for now

Funny u should say that there is a horrible smell in the car and i just thought it was the disgusting air freshener but maybe i should look in the boot for Tramp evidence

Spray some WD40 into the boot lock and check the air hose to it.
Then check the air pump in the offside corner of the boot, behind carpet below light cluster.

i had this same problem, got a new CL pump from the scrappy and sorted out instantly.

mine makes that noise when i turn off the ignition, havent bothered to investigate as everything is working on the car.....
