fair enough, was gonna say you could of had mine for not too much...

how bad is the insurance? mines 700 odd quid with everything declared i guess it'll be a fair old bit more for you

well to give you an idea im 26, 0 NCD had 2 fault accidents in the last 5 years and my insurance on the mkii 1.8 16v with all mods declared is £102 a month  :embarassed: would of had 2 years if it wasnt for a bump on the day i got the mkii

just been looking at a bora diesel as well and thats not too bad on the insurance on a 1.9 tdi

think at this rate might just man up and get a road bike and cycle to work, would cut back on mielage and petrol use to no end! and keep me fit haha

Have a word with youself stink. You know as well as every one how frigging cold it is out there. You will do you self more harm than good geting a bike and riding it  :lipsrsealed: :smiley:
As for what Mk4 to go for we all know how much of a slug the 1.4 mk4 is but my experance with the 1.6 has been a saprise. Motor ways have been very good and the A-B runs have been good. You can get a 1.6 with less that 70K on it for less than £1700. and evan cheeper if the milage is slightly higher.

Not that bad to be honest, did 25miles yesterday and rode into work today.  :smiley:

As long as you have the correct clothing it is not to bad.

That is true Wayne  :smiley:. i went out at the weekend to do a little mounting bikeing. I thort i was crazy but when under way wasen't to bad. I did find thow i will have to get some diffarant cloves as my fingers did turn blue and wear another layer of socks also as feet also felt like thay wanted to drop off lol :laugh:

cheers for the replies guys i think if anything a derv polo would be the anwser, im gettign soem advice from my mate as he is a bike nut and will help get me a good deal on a good road bike, the thing with cycling is once you get going its not to bad.

good point! i dotn want a dirty skid mark up my back and front hahaha  :grin:
