Buck, I didn't need to remove the side panels, I found you could feed the wire behind the trim and cable tie it to the ducting for the footwell vents.

As some know, I've not been able to use my reset button in the centre console to remove the dash warning light.

At my last service i asked them just to reset the warning but no, they said it was a faulty switch :( VW replaced TP switch today to no joy and then spent 30 minutes trying to find why it still won't reset.

Tonight I removed all the cloth tape from the harness and checked all wiring back to SteveP's original wiring explanation - check!  I then checked all the connections to make sure they were sound - check!

Sam (Branchespark) has lent me his VCDS cable so again I checked that the coding was enabled - check!

Still can't reset it from the switch   any ideas before I just turn the thing off to prevent future warning lights appearing?

Cheers

In VCDS you should be able to go into one of the measurement blocks in the ABS controller and see the switch output.
Pushing the switch then should toggle the output form open to closed, not sure where it is but I will have a look later for you.

This will confirm that it is is the right pin on the ABS controller and that the switch is working.

Does the backlight work ok on the switch when the lights are on ?

Thanks Mike

The backlight works ok.

The warning light triggered twice - once when I put my winter wheels on then when I swapped back to the summers so it appears to be able to identify the change in rolling circumference/speed and turn on the warning. It just doesn't want to reset.
