Another silly engine mount question!
« on: 28 November 2010, 15:53 »
Basically I have bought two engine mounts for my 8v golf from  a local motor store, I cannot however work out which one goes where! They both look completly different to what is on it  now. Can some point me in the direction of where to get some new ones and also a gearbox mount.

thanks

there are a couple of designs for each location, have a look on vwspares site, as they have pics. Or ebay, to see if you can see whats meant for where. I got some standard mounts from GSF, the gearbox mount to get it the one for the 1.3 model, as its the best design, so popular opinion says!

Its not a better design, just solid rubber rather than hydro.

so hydro is crap? Its more expensive and in the world of ramps that means better usually!

Gearbox hydro next to bonded rubber.
