Headlight Washers Stuck !
« on: 27 November 2010, 18:56 »
Hi

Been a while since i posted as i've got another ED30 as not driven it much so not had much to say :D

Anyway been on a couple of jaunts over the pennines and have a load of fun on the way there and back x2 :D

Which leads me back to the little issue of the light washer jets.  One sides stuck after completing it's wash cycle, it's not recessed back into position.  It's currently stuck out by an inch or so.  I've tried making it cycle again a few times, it pops out does it's wash (or tries) then moves back just stuck out an inch.

I'm summising that the crappy mix of screenwash i put in from Tesco may have allowed for some freezing in the pipes ?? Wondered it anyone has has this happen before and if it cause's the arm to stick ?  If it did cause the arm to stick did it right itself when it thawed out ?

Just poked my head out the window

She's fixed herself yay!!!  Seems it was likely frozen up and the hot water I poured in made it's way to where it was needed.

Happened to me yesterday, has it happened I had just bought some de-icer so pulled the washer out and give it a good spray and it went in fine.

You said what I was about to say. Id have bet all sorts of money on it being frozen somewhere. Once it warms up (which is starting to do now) it should sort itself out.
