if you have read my previous thread on the damn coolant light you will know how pi**ed off i was with it. after buying a new temp sender and the thing still coming on i decided the new sender must be faulty and i would take it back and swap it and if that didnt work i was stumped. as a last resort i disconected the battery for an hour to see if that made any difference. i didnt use the car till the morning after when i was on my way taking the sender back to the shop( i had put my old one back in). i had been on the motorway about half hour or so the car was up to temp( which is when the light usually came on ) i was nearly at the shop when i realised the light had not come on
that was yesterday and its stayed off ever since. disconecting the battery for what ever reason seems to have sorted the problem
so no more flashing red bloody light.
if you have this problem and have changed the coolant bottle, thermostat, temp sender and it still flashes....disconect the battery its worth a try
