Fitting the R32 DSG intake

Hey all, can anyone tell me if they have done this mod as im all booked in for a remap at R-TECH  :laugh: .

I have fitted a pipercross panel filter and im gonna clean the throttle body too befor i have it.

Does anyone think this will make a difference?

I have done it. Real easy to do. Once you realise how small the standard one is you will be amazed on the size of the DSG snorkel.

Not sure on the gains.

did you also change the air box or was it just a case of making the hole in the original one bigger??

Before I fitthttp://ed my carbonio intake I had dsg. Just trace round the new pipe on the air box and cut. I used some of the original seal on my new pipe to then siliconed it to the air box Jon a good in
Gone but still keeping a close eye on it...

Mk4 golf 1.8t AUM Hybrid K03s. Custom Mapped by R-tech to 260bhp. CR hybrid turbo Audi TT injectors / fuel pump, Forge tip,THS FMIC,Carbonio CAI, Full milltek turbo back, N249 bypass, Fully poly bushed, Weitec coils. Genuine R32 front bumper and Genuine R-line rear, Genuine Porsche twists, Anniversary black interior.

sorted, and do you think there was any improvement as in do ya think its worth doing?
i can get the parts for a little under 50 quid brand new....
 

throttle body is all sparkling clean now!!!!!!! :smiley:
Hopefully thats gonna stop the random flat spot in second gear  :undecided:

Have you tried TPS. I got mine last year for £35ish.

with a remap yes,  When ur on the rolling road feel the amount of air it draws.  It will beat any dyson lol
