Right iv looked thru a million bad running or poor idle treads and nothing seems to be like mine! I have a valver as a round about and wanted to know if this is anything obvious!

When it's cold it won't drive on full throttle just stops at about 3k and about 10 secs of sitting there it all of a sudden takes off fine all the way to red and is fine untill switched off for longperiod and restarted again!

The other prob is when I go over a bump or something at speed the car will cut and need restarting on the key but always fires back up again? Sound silly?

Any help would be great cheers oh it's a m reg abf lump!

you prob got a loose earth somewhere?

That would explain the cutting out on bumps what bout the rev till 3k then finally starts going? I'm thinking throttle sensor?

its defo a hold back on power. have you done a service on the car? if you have, check every thing. try cleaning your throttle body if it aint been cleaned. get vag com onto it and you should see the prob if it is throttle body related.

Well it can't be surly cos I can rev the balls off it on idle but under load it goes to like 3k and stops and randomly takes off totally fine?

look at the wiring for the tps, it bakes hard and cracks along the back of the inlet manifold. mine did something very similar when one of my tps wires snapped off
