Question for 5 Door Owners
« on: 19 November 2010, 17:24 »
When it's cold and raining outside do you find that your rear windows always fog up like motherf**k*rs? I had two friends in the car the other day and it was cold and raining outside. The windscreen, rear window and front windows were all perfectly clear yet the rear windows were still fogged up  I never noticed it when I was on my own in the car and I rarely if ever had passengers during those cold and rainy winter days.

A good window polish works wonders against misting. Air con too.

Do you have your aircon turned on, (even with warm temp setting) to help demist?

Modern cars are very well insulated now day's, so moisture in the car does not escape. The aircon setting helps remove the moisture inside the car, also more effective if you use the recirc setting too. This seems to work fine on mine....if you switch the aircon setting off with just normal air, you can see the difference immediately.

Yeah I had the aircon turned on warm. It was keeping everything nice and clear except the rear door windows. I'll try using the recirculation button next time, never though of trying that.

Dude
AG propa window cleaner plus clean it with newspaper - then run at 21-23deg typically on auto, so AC kicks in when conditions allow - thus air is dried and no condensation.
Failing that - when you are driving, who cares!!!!!
