What battery for 16v??

Any good tips on what type/size/output of battery I need for a 1991 16v Golf. The cheap one fitted went flat after about two weeks standing while I was on holiday!!

Only weird thing about my car is that it has air-con if this has any kind of effect on the battery needs.

Any advice greatly appreciated
