if recaros were standard then why were some fitted with the blue sports seats?

i know the leather recaros like in mine were fitted to the gti exclusive spec.

Only until MY02 then sports seats became standard fitment 

Fitting Recaro's was one of the best mods I did to the Goof and I do miss them    Don't miss the rest of the car though
