« on: 16 November 2010, 21:45 »
After having my car for over a year now & its only done 4,000 miles since ive had it..
Im thinking about getting it Serviced as its been 14 months since it was last done..
Its a 03 PD 150 on 40,000 miles..
Ive seen VW doing 2 types of Servicing..
http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/servicing/fixed-price-servicing
Minor Service is £119 & Major Service is £229..
Also seen this..
http://www.servicingstop.co.uk/vw_service.html?gclid=CLm4ioaYpqUCFYY14wodG04HHA
Interim Service is £134 & Full Service is £209..
Any ideas which one is the one i need to go for & is Best for me.. Or has Anyone on here had any of these done to their car & if so what would you recommend??..
Cheers..

They won't do a first service due to milage. So you will have to stump up for the full £209 service, but ask nicely and they will normally give you some money off.

We've just had the missus car done at Stafford VW, and to be honest the people there are really good and friendly. They don't like complaints so will pay attention to you to make sure it's done right, as long as you don't go in there demanding the world.

Best option is to give them a ring and see what they offer. Courtesy car, bit of discount etc. I would stick with VW for now if you have a FVWSH but if not, then a recognised garage can still maintain the FSH of the car with their stamp and you don't incur the cost of VW labour.
