MK3 GL 2.0L ?

Just had a silver MK3 GL come in at one of our branches at work,  said 2.0L Manual MK3 Golf GL Silver on an L plate!

Did they ever do a non GTI 2.0L???
10 golfs and counting!

It would be a 1.8 wouldnt it?! The engine looks the same as a 2.0 8v though. Although Im not  100%.

I thought the GL's were 1.8

GL's were 1.8, only Golf 2.0 was the GTI however I believe you could get it badged as a Sport in other markets.

You could also get a Vento 2.0 GL I believe.

yeah ventos were avail as 2.0, so that could explsin it. look at the engien you'll soon know what it is. metal rocker = 1.8, alloy = 2.0
