tomScotland mk3GTI progress so far....
« on: 14 November 2010, 19:15 »
Heres an intro to my current car, a 97 8v GTI, flash red, 115k. Bought it standard in April and have been tootling away with it ever since. I believe I'm finished as far as cosmetic mods are concerned, quite like the OEM+ thing so don't really want to do any more. Car has just been serviced and is as ready as its going to be for whatever our winter throws at it this year. Hope you like.

as bought -

ok, so first up a VR6 splitter

Followed by JOM coilovers and RS6 reps -

Next on the list was clear fogs/indicators and a passing fad for a bonnet bra

mk4 knob

Momo wheel (Corse D35, I hate small wheels)

Red/black leather colour concept recaros

Team Heko deflectors

sportex exhaust and red/clear rears

thanks for looking

Very nice :afro:

I'm quite liking the wind deflectors

Was the Mk4 gear knob and easy switch? Looks so much better than standard!

Absolute dawdle. Just tighten the adjustable collet right up and its fine. The gaitor needed a little fettling, not much though.

nice - I like.  Not so keen on the bonnet bra though.
You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
