As far as i know it works all the time, but i know some people struggle to connect to it due to issues with java, if you are running windows xp I would suggest downloading the latest java applet, and then you should be able to connect to the irc channel.

I use Xchat which uses perl scriptsand so shouldnt have any problems, but it says it cant find the server irc.chatstar.net?

Our new host is being a dick about the subdomains, just connect to ip 204.157.0.218 , /join #golfgti.
