Oscarli remap review

Took my golf tdi pd 100 to clarendon audio/autotech in warwick today for a remap. The software used to map the car was called Oscarli, i've never heard of this company before but i was very confident as my dad recommended me to the Richard washbrook. He who used to develop the maps for revo so i believe, but has now set up on his own. He doesn't really advertise as from what i understand but i can't recommend him enough.

My car started at 100bhp & 240 nm left with 130 & 310. Although it hasn't be dyno'd richard said vw's power claims are ofter understated, so it possibly more like 140+ bhp. I'm not that fussed about exact figures, altough its nice to know, how it felt after was most important.

He did a dignostic check first with vagcom to check everything was ok. Turns out i've got two minor problems- engine coolant temp sensor which i suspected and the diagphram in my egr valve has packed up. When carrying out the map he offered to turn the egr off (well he used a more technical term than that) as its not really needed. Infact its bad for the engine as it recirculates dirty exhaust fumes into the inlet or something and its there for the environment more than the car + its meant to worsen economy. Anway after he finished i took the car out and its like a different car now, so much smoother and pulls much better through all the gears. I managed 120 mph this morning in it and felt it had alot left. This afternoon i did 130 and it was still pulling (the PRIVATE road had a slight decline but i'm confident it would be as good on flat surface) I am aware the clocks like most have probably some sight error but most importantly its so much better to drive normally through town and on motorways. Was worth every penny and I feel i owe Richard a decent review and thought this was the place for it. Mate being in the midlands would be hard for him to snatch custom from Tuneside or R-tech as their really well known on here and they also have dyno which is always a plus as you get before and after printouts to show you the difference along with what you had a brief diagnostic to make sure nothing going to fall off with extra poke.

Sounds like your happy with the map as most of us are after the MAP as it feels like your driving someone elses car and not your own before the MAP.

Your speeds you managed on PRIVATE ROADS are kind of manageable before the MAP but I assume you got to that speed alot quicker and smoother I take it?

I realise they're well known but there's only one way i can think of to get a good reputation and thats word of mouth, so i thought i'd share my opinion. I think he uses stealths dyno at southam but that would undoubtably of increased the price aswell. Would of been nice to had a dyno before/after but i can live without if it'll save a few quid to spend on other things like xmas  . In fairness i thought it was quite impressive for what was only 100bhp to start with?

Hello fellas.  Just been reading the thread as I have thought about mapping my 150 53 plate with 120000.  The missus has it all week so I left it  totally standard as I only get to drive it hard on a sunday.
  It pulls like a train out of bends already and pulls 136 on a flat track using the sat nav, as the clock was reading over 140. Am I gonna notice that much difference as it goes fantastic already?  Also, what effect will it have on mpg as it does a steady 36mpg sitting on the ton which I think is acceptable and finally will I need to upgrade the clutch?     It's on its last anyway but I din't think the missus would be too keen doing the daily crawl to work with a competition clutch!    All comments greatfully recieved.

You cannot go wrong with an Oscarli remap, the owner Richard Washbrook used to be Revo Technik's technical manager. So the quality will be spot on and not a map where a tuner had just added  25% to every map..
