mk4 problem

1.8t gti 51 plate havin idle over problem when i pull up (traffic lights) :sick: anything i can check myself before going to a garage.had it 3 weeks runnin well up to yesterday.any help id be greatfull thanks.

Could be a number of little things but the main thing would ushaly be the MAF. This is a senser that is ataached to the air box. The only easyer way is to try and find some one near you who might have a diagnostic tool to plug into your car. That way it might give a better understanding to where the problem might be.

Might need your throttle bodie cleaning out and re-setting mate :wink:
If your anywhere near R-Tech just pop it down and i will sort it out for you.

secondary air pump maybe? makes a wet farting sound when you first start it?
