Just got my full licence,at 32 :embarassed:always dreamed of owning a gti, which I now do
BUT BUT it says on my insurance its just 125bhp,reading the forum I found if I have AUM on the code its 150bhp
The log book says AUM,am I driving the right car??

Welcome to the forum

All 1.8t's were 150bhp, non turbo was 125bhp is yours 100% a Turbo.

As Wayne said AUM is definately a turbo

Welcome to the site, get yourself down to R-Tech for a remap

New wheels not fitted, what a gut burner
The guy in the shop said to me"these will fit your car,no problem"
Had no lock nut key,so they had to be remove another way.
1st lock nut removed and I recived a phone call,"wrong size alloys"
O well, fresh start and I know I have the correct car

thanks for the replys...

I am still confused with the insurance company saying it is 125bhp
Rang my insurance company, they have the car listed as 125bhp.
Went to VW main dealer and asked,I was told its 150bhp.
Is it possible to do a reverse mapping?lowering the bhp??
This is all I can think of.
