Both of my keys are shagged for my 99 T 1.8T, one having the clip broken which means that the key comes a part every time i use it and the other just will not remote open my car (can anyone tell me what i can do with this one?)

I've seen some new keys on Ebay which need re-programming and cutting and appear to be quite cheap.? My keys are the two button type but some of the newer two button types look different.? Will these work on my car and how much will VW charge to re-programme them (i assume only VW can do this)

well i don't know how much the steelers will charge to cut the key, but i just had my keys re-coded, an they charge me ?35.

but if you get it cut an re-coded, may cost you a little more than that.

hey if them keys that you buy from e-bay work, let us know because i only got one key for my 99 GTI T, and let me know how much it cost in total
