Hey, Another new guy looking for some Diesel Power!
« on: 02 November 2010, 15:35 »
Hey guys, my name is Joel and im from south wales UK. My previous car was written off a few weeks ago due to no fault of my own and with the payout and selling some bits and peices from it i plan to get myself a nice black 1.9 TDI 3 door MK5. Thought i'd sign up here and up my knowledge on the MK5's and hopefully get the ball rolling!

Can anyone give me some pointers on what to look for in the MK5's and what to watch out for? I don't want to be buying a problem car!

Thanks alot and im looking forward to your responses. Joel.

And by the way this was my previous car,

Fiat Stilo 1.4 16v Blue (Special Ed)
AP Coilovers
18" Kei Wheels
Spacers
Alot of bodywork (Plenty of smoothing etc)
Upgraded interior
Rolled arhes with tyre stretch etc
Full Cat back system (custom made tail pipes)

A hell of a lot of money spent. Check it out,

And now it looks like this :/

Welcome to the site, Fiat looked nice glad you have seen the light and will be getting a golf.  Make sure you get a well spec'd one, try to find one with xenons and climate control etc.  What you looking to spend on the golf?

Hello, sorry about the Fiat  you must still be really upset as you have put the words Diesel and power in the same sentence.

I'm not that bothered about loosing the fiat if im honest, it gives me the chance to start a new project while getting back alot of the money i spent on the car. Looking to spend anywhere from £20 to £6000 on the new golf. 3 Door, 1.9 TDI MK5 in black or white, preferably black though.

Any ideas?
