hi, they are very light and are smaller than a "standard" rotory, i mean standard very loosely as they are all slightly different in size and weight but the dodojuice spin doctor is roughly similar in size and weight to the festool rap 80 rotory which is for smaller fiddly bits of body work.

the spin doctor is a nice bit of kit and is nice and light which is good for someone moving up from a DA to further there machine polishing skills and for the price its a good one to get you started, id recomend using 135mm pads on it and not the 150mm pads as the 135s are alot easier to handle on the car and give you better feel for what you are doing,
also get yourself a few scrap panels(bonnets are better for there larger flatter area)to practice on, also find a course near to you and go along and watch a pro doing it so you can see the technique of it.

hope this helps.

Is there any reason why Dodo juice don't do more products for use with a DA/rotary? Seems all they do is lime prime and a supernatural stick

They now do a full range of pads and backing plates, they are all great BTW. I love the Supernatural backing plates.

I think they have probably got compounds on their list to produce at some point, but don't forget they are still a fairly new company and they are releasing new products all the time, the next batch of new products is due middle of this month

Just to answer the OP's question, we have sold quite a few of the Spin Doctor's now and have had quite a few glowing reports without a single negative one

chris the supernatural backing plates are good and are pretty much the same as the liquid shine backing plate which i have and love using.

need for speed can be applied by machine with a finishing or finnessing pad producing good results.

Do you already have pads and polishes?

Here is the polishing section:

Let me know what you already have and i'll see what I can recommend
