Just been given these - are they any good?

Because the VR6 lump is freaking heavy, i should say that the springs unt shocks were for a mk3 vr6 if your mate had any nowse. If he didnt then you are in look, cos they should be normal gti ones

Have you not got a better picture?...  Can't see the top of the box and 95% of the contents are covered in cardboard.  get a shock out, show us a full spring. show us the whole box if it has more writing on it....  All i can read is warnings.. "Bruchgefahr" risk of breakage. and even that word isnt displayed fully!

The shocks and springs were for a MK2 VR6 so i was assuming they would be good to go on. Why wouldn't they make a difference?

As posted, VR lump is heavier so the front will sit higher.

Shocks and springs chap  , didn't know if anyone recognised the box, doesn't matter really, there going to be a damn sight better than what i currently have, they'll lower the car and will make my RA's sit nice and low.

your wheels wont sit any lower dude!

I haven't picked them up yet, if they are specifically for a VR6 and the springs don't lower the car would it be possible to buy new springs and keep the shocks, the only upside is they will still be alot better than the old units currently on the car.
