Ah yes, I'll need a brew for the racing as well. I think the main straight's long enough for a quick toke and slurp!

SO what was everyones views (Ignoring the car haterz  )?

I thought the longer races were great as you got to get in a real rythmn and you had more of a chance of making up for errors. Although Slick and Dolly just romp off into the distance (Did they acttually lap people?).

I personally was well chuffed with my performance. Actually managed to be competitive in these two rounds, managing to hang onto the back of Slick for several laps before I made a mistake and dropped back. In the 2nd race I think I could have caught 3rd place if my car wasn't busted from an earlier collision, I was slightly down on pace but had lost a good 30mph on the straight due to a knackered engine.

Aye, I think it was good fun.

The longer distance is nice, and as you say allows you to get into a rythmn.

1st race - all got a bit messy in the first corner, and my game loaded me pretty much straight in to the launch, as I saw no countdown, so my start was kack. Was good fun though and I closed up on Dolly ( no where near enough to get close ) by the 4th lap. Nick did well to hold second for so long, but managed to nip up the inside of Elvi on a fast right, then underneath Nick on the slow hairpin leading to the quick left/right.

2nd race: I didn't realise just how much manual/w clutch gave you a boost from the line. Went from starting position of last on the grid, up to 3rd by the first corner. Dead impressed at that. Think I managed to get up to, and pass Dolly on the 3rd lap, and then pulled out a bit of a lead by the end. Both Dolly and I did lap some people towards the back end of the race. I apologise to Elvi for giving him a loving nudge on the corner just after the cataluna tight left, I wasn't expecting you to start braking quite as early as you did. Then passed Chuff ( gracias ), and just as time ran out was coming up fast behind Greg ( I think )

I did have a think before hand. Maybe next champ series we can do a split grid? So 4 people in say A class, and 4 people in S? Obviously give the A class a 30 sec head start and then start the S class?

Would mix it up a bit. (By the way... I'm going in A class if we do do it)

Dream on! lol!

2nd race my engine was a bit yellow too - had a few over-zealous downshifts in the back section chicanes  :embarassed:

Gutted about the first corner on the first race though. I made all that fuss about starting on poll, then flew straight off missing my braking point  I mean, I know I would have lost it to Slick & Dolly eventually, but I could have at least tried to get past the first corner lol

Well chuffed with a 4th place and 3rd place. Looking forward to a good fight in the middle of the table.

The longer races were cool, if not a bit confusing with regards to the positioning on the HUD.

I like the idea of the split grid too - only problem I can see is that the grid allocations are random, so the A class cars would have to do a bit of dodging off the line which could be messy  :undecided:

If it's a split grid you just line the grid up in PI rating. That way, A class will be the front 4, and S class will be the rear 4.
