I've had a price in from a repair body shop local to me........ £ 40 + VAT ( for a full respray of the mirror housing )

They have always done a fantastic job for me in the past so I've booked the car in.

I didn't think that was to bad a price tbo.... I'm gonna have to run a few motorbikes of the road now to make up for it

No I don't find them offensive. I do like them very much, but especially not on a white car. They look great on all other colours.

For the record the cost for replacing the wing mirror cover and paint spraying came to......£ 62 incl VAT. More bloody expense, but not to bad. The job was done by the bodyshop I use down my way and was done perfectly.

I've kept the old scratched wing mirror cover as momento all though I may use it as a codpiece or something?

Get that one re-sprayed and either keep it as a spare for when it happens again or sell it on to recoup your cash
