No they are not, Scirocco is a mk1 Golf floorpan, injection system is on the other side.

Any Golf lump will fit within reason.

Was gonna say, and the Raddo is more similar to mk2 floorpan isn't it? Or something like that.

Would of though you could stick a 9a or ABF in it without too much bother. Aren't there a few 16v rocco's from the factory?

Yep, 16v were available new but made in very small numbers.

ABF would be cheapest bang for buck I would have thought. Can't remember what the GTII had in from new though. Carb or K-Jet injection?

M'mmmmm, Valver 'rocco.

ABF all the way, innit.

IIRC the K-jet variety valver that was fitted to the OEM 'rocco had the throttlebody port the opposite side to all of the other 16V inlets, which is why it's much feted by those wanting to turbo-charge the 16V lump.

As it's the Golf1 floorpan it has different engine mounting to the G2 and G3, so you might need to have a root about to see whether these work OK with the tall-block ABF.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Correcto, this is why they are bloody hard to get hold of also, as they are handy for force induction set ups.

I have seen a 1.8T rocco before, but can't remember who had it.

A guy from around Leicester, MK I in brown, very discrete, lovely motor.  I got my 8V crossflow head from him.  Love that car.
