climate control not heating properly.

Hi all.Ive got a mk4 1.8t and the climate control is not heating properly.The air con is nice and icy cold but the heater is only just about warm.Any suggestions please..

Air lock in the cooling system?...  you done anything to do with water levels/coolent etc recently?

Cheers for the prompt reply.Only picked it up today.Got it from me brother in law and said its been like it a while.Just didnt know where to start..

Could be a water pump issue, well known failure on 1.8t's

cheers bud...........  oh and worse case what wayne said, didnt know that about 1.8t.  if you want more, post something in the mk4 section, plenty of people in the know for your car there.

Water pump Impeller has become detached from shaft.... fit new water pump

Just asked me bruv in law and he said he changed the water pump about 10 months ago with cam belt and this didnt solve it..

or thermastat not working ??
