Actuator help please !!!!!!

HI guys, could anyone please tell me how long it roughly takes to change an actuator on a mk 4 agu 1.8t and if anyone has tried the new forge one many thanks!!!

many people run the forge one and apparently from what ive heard its great when set up properly.. much stronger aswell..

it takes as long as it takes depends on how mechanical you are.. what tools.. etc etc..

Im going to try and get r-tech to do it so im sure they will set it up properly. Just trying to get an idea of man hours cheers

it is very hard to get to the last bolt on the actuator mounting plate. Most would say its a turbo off job to change the actuator's but i think R-tech managed to remove an actuator without taking the turbo off.

Im running a forge actuator with a red spring as im on a stage2 map. benefits being stronger than the standard item, so can close the wastegate off quicker and hold it shut better.

Speak with R-tech as i know nick was looking at developing a add on to the standard actuator that makes it stronger and save then need to replace with a forge item.

Hi all iv just spoke to the guys at r-tech about this forge actuater, i got a quote of £95.00 for labour this includes manifold g :smiley:asket and other fittments actuater costs £99.00. Manifold and turbo off job! £195.00 All in.

any news on this, im goin to stage 2 soon and wondering whether worth buyin and fitting one before new turbo gets bolted on.

What actuall benifits do u gain driving wise?

Ive opened one on ko3s by hand and seems bloody strong anyway lol

I believe it stays open longer and is much more accurate opening and closing..
