Was looking at getting this camera, how are you getting on with it?  What did you pay for yours?

I paid £320 with the IS lens, from jessops as the store had been revamped they knocked £50 off selected items. I haven't seen it less than £350 anywhere else.

I'm loving the camera, does everything I need to. Take a look at my flicker by clicking on one of the pictures I have put in the photography thread. Bear in mind you may new to spend another £50 on a bag, card and other accessories (not essential apart from the card)

Any more questions fire away.

Click  on this pic (3 shots edited into one -HDR) taken with the Canon.

Thanks for that I the one I looked at today was £350.00 which is about as much as I want to spend, plus get myself a good sized memory card.  Will check the Jessops near me see what their price is.  Nice collection of pics you got there.

Cheers mate. The promo only run at 1 store for 2 days as far as I know. I'm using a Transcend 8GB Class 6(or 10) can't remember from play.com for 10 pound and it's nice and quick. 350 seems average price with the IS lens. Not sure about the non-IS lens to be honest.

If you're after a bag check out amazon for the Lowepro Rezo 160 (IIRC) for 22 pound.

I've really been looking at getting a new camera lately, and think that your pics have made me decide to wait and get one of these. Seems like an awesome camera for the price! Was looking at getting a non DSLR but this is only about £100 more than the others i've been looking at, so seems like it would be a better choice

Has it been easy to get used to?

Very easy, you can run it in full auto if you want. But when you understand how things work the other modes are great (I like using manual for trial and error) it is user friendly. You really can't go wrong.
