Brilliant choice of camera.

I started off with that lens combo and I love my camera completely. There is a lot of camera snobbery I have found with quite a few people with the higher spec ones claiming that the 1000D isn't as good a camera as theirs but in my opinion it's an excellent piece of kit. If you go on to this website
http://www.imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/COMPS01.HTM you can see that the quality of the pictures it produces really aren't that far off the higher spec cameras.
I now have a Sigma AF 70-300mm f4-5.6 lens and a 'nifty fifty' Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II as well as my 18-55mm lens, which I think's a nice round selection of lenses. Have my heart set on the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens but need to save up some fundage at the moment.
The card I got for mine is an 8gb Kingston SD HC Class 6, which was about £15 quid I think, but it is a brilliant card. I've taken many pics in RAW and barely filled the thing up.
