Found another daft problem
« on: 01 February 2005, 20:45 »
as i set off to work today i noticed bigish puddle of oil on the driveway
and i had only topped it up yesterday
i thought it must be the driveshaft seal gettin worse.

so i got to work and at dinner i pulled car into workshop to see where it was comin from.
noticed puncture on back wheel ran over a nail got that sorted.
when i put the car on the ramp
it was caked in oil all over but it was not the driveshaft it was engine oil.

every1 was sayin the headgasket is leakin but when i took it down off the ramp
I noticed that oil pressure sensor or temp sensor dunno which one
screws into the side of the head anyway, it was loose and everytime the car got warm
oil pissed out all over.
so engine needs a good clean now, and i solved the burning smell i could smell
on the way home.
oh yeah i lost the jackin point cover that is on the side skirts so i am gonna look out for it tomorrow
also i had a twisted cv boot a while ago n when i looked today it had sorted itself out
just driveshaft seal to do now, and power steerin as its screamin

They are just a slide fit into the sill, if you open one and gently tug on it it will slide out from the sill.

yeah its no probs getting them out if they are in one piece. but if the other one has snapped then there is nothing to tug on to get the busted one out!!
