Forge FMIC, advice needed please...
« on: 21 October 2010, 23:05 »
Hi guys,

Over the past few weeks I have been talking to AWE Tuning in America about their K04 kit for the TSI in the hope ordering one up, but the Euro spec'd car appears to befifferent to the USA spec so nothng has really happened and my ideas have went elsewhere. So called up Awesome GTI today and ordered up a Forge FMIC to aid stage 2 once it arrives and keep everything nice a cool

But was having a look at whatelse I could change while having bumper off etc and saw this:

Seems an awful lot for a bit of pipe though!? OEM does look very restrictive in the other hand. What do people think?

P.S. Awesome put a stage 2 map on a Scirocco TSI and got around 290 bhp i believe!? Steve, you here anyting about that?

The torque figures for the Rocco running 290bhp where a little on the high side so wouldn't read much into that.

The improvements will be small with the neuspeed stuff but as you say while your pulling the front end off the car then it's not a bad idea.

Have fun with the forge hoses as these are normally a real joy to fit.
