Cool, lets go for the S4's ( I found that you need to brake earlier but you get a mighty exit speed when doing this).

I'm out tonight but Friday/weekend I'll set up some dates and circuits like the other champ.

The Veyron race sounds like a plan for a season Finale!

So thinking about this.

We happy to go for the same wednesday @ 9pm format? I feel this is probably best as Mrs Horney is used to it and upsetting her routine can be lethal.

Also, race distances. Were they long enough or do peeps feel that longer races would allow for the chnace of more recovery from an error/crash? I personally felt they were a little short, but I'm not up for 30 lap marathons either. There is the option int he settings for timed races so we could 10 mins for short and 15 for long or something like that. Your thought folks?

Circuits will have to be those available to all but I think we should introduce some new ones and drop a couple of others (I vote dropping silverstone for a start!). Again thought on this?

Would be good to get it up and running for the first race next wednesday.

Deffo needs more laps.

My choice would be thus:

Force Stock - No mods WHAT SO EVER
ABS and choice of shifting only.
Uniform paint with numbers (not sure how to determine who gets what)
Simulated everything, damage, tyres, fuel

Tracks:
Sebring
Seca
Road America
Sunset Peninsula
Sedona Raceway
Cataluna
One of the sidewinder tracks?

possibly a few more, and not in that order perhaps, plus maybe some in reverse to mix it up?

All sounds great Slick apart from I agree with Chuff re the paint. But we should have uniform door numbers and everyone carry the Golf GTI.co.uk logo. Kinda like in real racing where you can chose your paint scheme but some sponsorship and official decals are set.

Oh and you can chose any number, but you (slick) get number 1 due to winning the last champ.

Nah it's easy enough, everyone already has the GTI one and all someone has to do is knock up a door number template and pop it in their storefront.

ClubGTI run a league and they stipulate exactly where on the car the many different logos have to be placed! Now that is getting carried away/anal about it.

+1

I will upload the template I did last night (unless there are any objections or it is deemed pants) if it helps. I used a 6 on my car as that is where I finished in the last championship.

I would also argue that the S4 (being a tuned car already) allows for some fine tuning of the parts it comes with, and therefore, if people want to experiment, they should be allowed. At the end of the day, they are not going to be able to gain extra ponies and potentially have as much chance of making the handling worse as they do make it better.

Agree on ditching Silverstone too.

Race lengths being timed sounds good too.

Oh, I also have the forum logo on my storefront, and have the URL typed out in white font (can change colour to black / whatever). I will upload that too (all free)
