8v golf squealing front end

hi, i own a k reg 2.0gti 8v...few months ago there began a squealing sound when on full lock, from somewhere up front..lol...now it squeals REAL loud when setting off with only a little bit of lock..the steering wheel rocks in my hand at these points.....only happens at slow speeds...hence VERY embarassing in ASDA carpark!
could anyone tell me whats up? is it the power steering pump? something else?
what price to fix it am i looking at?

i had same problem on my golf all it is is the powersteering belt slipping ,put new belt on and ajust it so it dosnt slip very easy to do ok

can any1 explain how i can do this my self and the part name for the belt i need.
