Should I go back to REVO
« on: 19 October 2010, 17:11 »
When I first had a remap on my gti I went with revo but after a short time I started to suffer from the over boost problem. I had the map taken off and went apr with no problems. As I am local to manchester I went to awesome gti now they have gone to revo and are offering free swap to revo from apr . I have talked to awesome and they say revo have sorted the stage 1 map.

Should I go back?

Worried that if I stay with apr there is no back up in my local area if I have any problems.
( Now have a mk6 gti not ed30 as it says below)

I have just put the revo back on mine and its running like a dream!

Had some punk in a VXR trying to show off to his 2 mates on Monday night. Made him look very stupid. It was actually quite funny as i pulled into the left lane to let him past... his jaw was wide open and all his mates were laughing. Worth the money alone just for that moment

I think they offer free map upgrades to anyone who paid for a map in the first place. Mine wasnt down to a faulty map... it was cooked sparkplugs due to dodgy fuel. :embarassed:

They new map will be released in a couple of weeks i believe :nerd:

Mike, I would say yes, but just put the OEM panel filter back in for now.

They still have issues with cars running with anything other than the fully stock intake, it's close to being resolved but will be at least another few weeks.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

As steve has said think I will put the oem panel filter back in as I have been running a pipercross filter
That was probably what caused me to get issues with the revo software first time round and hope they get the problems sorted so I can go stage 2

Sorry guys for continuously bumping this thread, but SteveP do you know if the Stage 1 Revo has been sorted. I really want to get my tune sorted.

Thanks
