If you can do a cam belt you can do a camshaft,  they are simple as far as internals go, Price ranges from £160 to £500  It makes it sound nice, makes it go better but its all about shifting the power,  it doesn't make power as such, it will take for eg.. 10hp from 2000 rpm and give it to 4000 rpm,  depending on the type you fit.   Thats about as much as i know about uprated shafts.

I would run a 268, to get the most out of a 272 you need other mods really.

Better breathing, gas flowed head and a remap or maybe even a bigger valve head.

It'll be better but not essential. I'd still get the highest spec you can.

Not quite, I am old school and think do the cam last as such plus you were saying the standard cam was only 204 degrees, however with seeing what gains Khare got then it looks a good step.

Hope this clears this up

Cams will always make a difference, but its moving the power not making extra power,   to make extra you need to combine it with others to get the "best of both"   Personally i want my engine to have a bit more up the rev range and the sound of the cam, but not big power.

when they say they add 10hp its taking it from somewhere else from the rev range but who drives arround at low revs ay?
