But why would you use lacquer on satin paint?  :huh:

Sort of defeats the objective!

Tbh mate, not sure, they have been satin blacked before and it hadn't lasted long so thought I would try and seal it???
But may try with out for a while!!!
Hopefully it will last!!

Well just had a play, and water started taking the splashes of paint off, with it only being acrylic!!
So will start the lacquering tomoz, no desperatly after a satin look, but it's a good base!

i ve sprayed my bonnet with matt black and i am going to be lacquering it as soon as i get the last coat on for protection, well still look a bit matt but really takes the matt look away which i am a bit  :undecided: about but it  well match my wing mirrors as there matt black and lacquered.

Quick update on mine, did lacquer the wheel, went really well, has made a beautiful colour of the satin black and purple!
Unfortunately my hut collapsed and has scratched the paint down to primer :(
But ya can't tell too much so I'll sort that later!
Need to get the tyre pumped up and onto the car it goes!!
As far as the experience goes - the spraying is a technique ya get used too,
Make a safe hut lol
And take your time with the prep, it's all worth it!!!
1 down, 4 to go!! Lol

Unlucky mate "my hut " lol sorry but thats class  :smiley: hope you haven't done to much damaged.
I am going to do myn in the garage making a temp "Hut"  :grin: in there going to use my weight bench, table, extractor for the dust/spray and PVC sheat and tarpolin. jobs a good one . . . . . lol

As soon as i can get some Steele or some cheap alloys[£30 lol] going to start going to take my time on prep and sorting out the curbing etc . going to do something a bit different not just black now. i got a idea in my head think ill keep it under my hat so its a nice surprise for all lol
involves black red or cream and a patten.

Need the diameter of the inside of a tt completion alloy   :smug:
