I'm located in Nottingham during term time and London in the holidays.
I never really bothered with the site before because I figured it was only really for GTI enthusiasts but it looks like I was wrong and it suits all Golfs, never mind I have a GTI now! (possibly only temporarily if I cant sell the 1.4 but we will see).
Here's the GTI I keep if I can get a buyer for the 1.4 (which I will properly advertise soon):
It didn't cost to much money as it needs a front spring changing, a new back box then an mot and tax, hopefully that is all but there is some rust showing beneath the windows, a bit at a sill and some small marks and a small dent. It's done 105,000 miles and is an 8v. I will be changing the cambelt straight away as well.
I have two initial questions relating to the front suspension and a toad alarm, I will ask both in the relevant sections (the suspension issue doesn't seem to be answered anywhere from a search), also which section should I ask about the alarm?
If you or anyone you know is interested in a metallic purple 1.4 please PM me (no idea of the paint code its very nice though). It has had a huge amount of work done to it mechanically and has also been made to look like a gti (lights, trim, BBS wheels from a mk2 I believe etc). Its done 105,000 and everything I have done in the last 5000 miles (gearbox, clutch, numerous gaskets including head, cambelt, waterpump, wishbones, strut tops, fuel pump, brakes, filters etc etc). I'm open to offers.
