Ok so i need some advice, i need to buy a slim line rad fan and want to know from you lot where is the best place to buy one from, want to try and keep the pennys down to a min being a student and all that. I have found this one on ebay, what do lot think, has anyone got this one???

My rad is not standard with it having the g60 dropped in it so i have got a vr6 rad. Any advice would be really good.

Pacet/ Kenlowe slim line fans are the best you can buy Kai, so I think the one on the link is a PACET so should do the jobbie!

Cheers jay was going to pm you if nobody got back to me later, looks like i will be buying that later, hopefully have it end of the week and fit it at the weekend as running with no fan at the mo, lets hope i dont hit a traffic jam

Ok so here is a bit of an update on the mk2, i decided to get it into the workshop fit the new breaks and exhaust however i only managed to get the exhaust done as a customers car need to go ont the ramp.
This was the first time i was able to get under the car properly and have a good prod around and see how good or bad it is. I could not belive how clean it is, for a 20 year old car to be that clean put a very big smile on my face, i mean its not perfect but i have seen cars half its age in a lot worse condition 


So car up on the ramp and take the old exhaust off, well started to try and take the old one off but the exhaust clamps looked like they had seen better days, so out with the wire brush and wd40 and see if that helps?
As you can see from the pics below the clamps where very rusty and i ended up snapping all the bolts off 





The clamps had a good clean up and renewed all the nuts and bolts and ready to start taking the center section off, once again another a problem 

As yoou will see from the pic below i seem to have a cat? Didnt think the mk2's had cats pre 1992? Wouldnt have normally minded but it also has a Lambda sensor connected just before it??? Did the corrado's have this set up? It is all wired in and looks fully working, didnt get time to test it to see but what i cant understand is why it is there and it is so far back down the pipe that i measured the distance and it is as near halfway down the car, how is it suppose to work as it is only the 3 wire one too so it doesnt heat itself?    Can someone shed some light as too why it is there? As a result i decided to leave the center section until i can figure out the lambda sensor and what to do with it, plus wanted to ask you guys 


So just managed to fit the back section from the center pipe. The pics below show what it looks like.









Well that is finally fited now need to sort breaks and center section out and getting there. Ignore how dirty the car is bloody salty roads  Anyway let me know what you lot think of the new exhaust. The sound now is monstress, i will take a vid of it tommorw and post it up just to show you how it growls

That's not the important thing mate. The important thing is. 1. What time you at college? 2. Is the fluffy speed kills man stuck on dash?
Exhaust is mint though mate and sounds mean going down the road. Haha

Im at college at 9 mate, forgot to give you your grill, dont get rid of the other one if you keep the single one on mate might have someone who wants it.
And yes the fluffy speed monster is stuck down and watch for all the speeders out there

Been a while since we saw some progress, despite thoughts of the exhaust looking a bit chavvy , I think it looks pretty smart.  nice work, shame the system is causing you some grief.  I know what its like, mine was a pain in the ass to separate..

I'm not sure what you mean about the amount of wires and "heat itself" when it comes to the Lambda sensor.  But yes, your car should have one.  All G60s did for their fuelling management.  Same goes for the Cat, as far as I know all g60's has these too.

Yeah it has got 3 wires, i thought that the 3 wire ones didnt heat themselves and used the exhaust heat to get hot and that some lambda's had 4 wires which heated themselves up as soon as you turn the engine on?
How would be the best way then in sorting this out, what i was thinking of doing is marking out where the lambda should be on the new center section and drill a hole, thread it and then weld it in? Would this be the best way to do this for me to fit the center section?? 

Soundillusion, i am glad you like the exhaust, to be fare it did look abit chavy when it wasnt on the car but now it is, it sits very nicly close up against the bumper
