Ah fook it,  do what you like but your sleeper look is slipping away fast!

Mmm I can see where  you are coming from but I have now decided, like you said, do what you like.  you know when you start with good intentions and then it never ends with that intention in mind. Well still happy with it and the main thing is I like it,

ummm, yep!

You're no the only one who likes your car......... as said Alpine white is a great colour on it.. My last MK1 was the same colour and I thought it looked awesome.

Well I agree with that, alpine white is one of the best colour. I did search long and hard for the rite car and I would settle unless the car was either alpine white or oak green but oak green ones seems to hold their value better.  What happened to your white mk1?

I've mentioned it a couple of times on here, it had very high miles and needed some work but body was mint.... gearbox went and wanted a new toy, sold it to a mate who then sold it on..  I then bought what I have now... wish I kept it... its still on the road now with mileage somewhere in the mid 200k mark!

Exactly
and it wouldnt have ended up the same way as the black one... I regret selling instead of sorting as I ended up worse off in the end.. plus, its not like i can match this one now, whole thing needs a respray..

Well thankfully looking around mine it doesn't need any painting on the outside, just maybe in the engine bay to tidy it up. Do like the mk1's in white, pritty rare too and yours looked fantastic, mk1's do also suit black like yours, think they suit it a lot better then a mk2 in black?
Are the oak green ones a limited colour, is this why they cost more to buy?
