Got them for £160 in the end. Really happy about that. Going to see if I can collect them on Tuesday and then I can see how much work is needed to get them mint again.
Yeah I do like the red wheel idea but just wanted to throw it out there and see what others thought, was thinking about the grey look but I'm just not too sure.
Lewis how desperate are you for my wheels? I'm only saying that as I was going to keep these as me winter wheels but did you say you had some g60 steels?
These wheels wont be going on until next year when the weather is nice and sunny.

You idiot i would have liked to doo a deal on mine for G60 steels . Erm the other option for me was that i was going to buy myself some cheap standard golf steel wheels, there is a set for sale near me for £30 including tyres, take the bbs off and refurb them whilst running on the steels, but now i have the new wheels i could get the steels too, still run on the steels, you can borrow the bbs and refurb my ats wheels. I will most likely fit them but only to see what they look like, there is now way i am running them in crap weather. If your a good boy mr lewis i might even put them on yours for this photoshoot, just to see what they look like

there's a set of 14" steelies on the remains of my track car. if you help me shift it to its final resting place you can have them for free. they are the boggo gti ones with the plain holes, rather than the cool ones that look like mini g60's.

i lost5 my g60's as i sold the car they were fitted to. the deal was he's source some wheels then return them but the clutch went days after the sale. he is a mate so as an apology i let him keep the wheels.

Sounds like a deal lewis, i will defo help you, any tyres on those steels???

Quick update on what work i did today, i was trying to get my exhaust done today but as i was pushed for time and it didnt turn out to be as easy as i was expecting i have put decided to abandon this and move onto another job i wanted to get done.
So i decied to sort my calipers out and here are a few pics of the befores and afters. Basically they where already painted red but hand not been cleaned in a long time and looked very grubby, to a point that i didnt even know that they had been painted red until i bought the car and got it home and one of my friends told me as he had spotted them, anyway enough talk i will let the pics tell the story

Before:

Sanded down and cleaned up:

After and painted:

With the wheel back on, can just see them but do look a lot better

Let me know what yu lot think.

Yep you definatley need to refurb those RA's

Calipers look very nice, i take it you left them in place and painted round the pads. I really want to do mine once i get a trolley jack but i was thinking of painting them pale gold/titanium.

You need some nice new discs now

Yeah i defo need to get the RA's refurbed but this is on my job list for next summer time when i put my ATS Cups on. I am going to refurb the Cups over the winter and run the RA's and then swap them around and sort the RA's out. I did leave the caliper on and painted around the pad, was thinking of taking them off but as i was pushed for time i thought that this would be the quick and easy option and think they turned out good in the end. I personally would do them gold as this would stand out more from the titanium. It only took me about 30mins per caliper and thats with sanding them down and painting them 2 coats.

Well yeh was hopin you'd help though as I don't think I'll be good at paintin calipers up. Haha.

Yeah i can do them for you thats not a problem, they didnt take long to do, i will see how much it will be for a 500ml pot of the lambo green paint, want to get some anyway as i like that colour and wouldnt mind some spare.

So i have just got home from picking up my new wheels and looking at them they are all in farely good nick apart from they need a refurb, will post some pics in a bit......
