MK2 Gti 8v 1986 advice

good evening everybody,

Now i have had a few vw's, polo coupe s, g40, golf mk3.......and last but not least a lupo 1,0 that im going to sell due to money reasons.

Never had a real golf gti, but came across that one

currency is in swedish crowns but should be about 1300 pounds.

It is only a 8v but seems in rather original condition, is there anything particularly i have to look for engine wise? the car is old of course so i suppose it is the same as on any other old car.

My father had lots of mk1 gti's and according to him it was the best car ever built. Hence that he has been driving vw for over 30 years.....

is it the same engine as in the mk1 gti? is it worth the money? lived in sweden for 4 years now and that is one of the first non styled tuned ones i have ever seen in that country

Do a search bud - this has been covered time and time again.

Its old, it rots - buy on body, who cares about the engine.
