Just checked the oil and the bonnet won't slam shut. (it rests like it was just popped from inside).
The dealer changed the pull mech under warranty last year and it has been really tight to open and a lot of play in the release since then.
Anayway I've got a flight to catch in the morning so need to know how to properly shut the bonnet until I get back.
Any ideas?
Mine did exactly this, I was able to put a key in the catch itself and force it closed. I was then able to release it again from the leaver and it closed again when I shut the bonnet.
What I would say, is check the ball joint that is at the front left. It looks like a rectangle, black plastic box. Pop it open and make sure that the spring and the ball are still connected. Mine had come lose which was stopping the bonnet from catching closed, or being opened.
