I have read it
I have road legal plates, whether or not the dealers sales technique was an entirely legal process in another question.
Afterall, it was Edition 38, in a field with no computers. They wrote down all the reg's they pressed, but nothing else.

Thats fine, as long as your happy, the police if they were to check might not be.

No we only do standard, plus we don't sell them but just supply for new machines.

You've lost me now  :undecided:
So even though I have legal plates I can get in trouble, even though the plates adhere to all requirements?
Surely if my plate gets read by the police camera thing, there wont (hopefully) be anything to trigger an alert, and if an alert was triggered in won't be to do with plates.
Or is it something like typing in the BA number?

Nope you should be fine, the only problem is that if the police wanted to check who supplied them.

I got some from this chap on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320598871204

Obviously they arn't legal due to having no postcode but I thought the price was good.

How are they legal if they are classed as show plates? Not having a dig, just having looked at the pressed metal ones they offer & I can't see a postcode which would make them illegal in its own right
