« on: 03 October 2010, 15:40 »
are there any legal requirements i need to make sure of before i order these, been on a couple websites, one wanted all my documents, not photocopies, ACTUAL documents, and another didnt want anything other than a reg number... but both said theyre legal?! sendin all the docs over seems a bit OTT but then again, sending nothin sounds a bit dodge?! any tips / better websites?!

Want legal plates then you got to provide the documents

There's been a few group buys with Dubmeister and no one has reported problems.  I've had a set and I'll be getting another set for my new car shortly

Or you could wait until a show and then get them done with the same company without any need for documents  :lipsrsealed:

Jeynesey got a set for his ED30 at GTI International and they never asked for his documents.........

Haha, see that's what I don't get?? Maybe they do it to cover themselves rather than us?? Might just go with the other ones,I don't see that u need to register ur car for a number plate, its not like its a different reg its still the same just made out of metal!!

Has to have the manufacturers post code stamped into it to prove it meets the minimum legal requirements / standards etc

Think about it, do you want someone else to just walk into Halfords or anywhere that produces number plates, re-produce your number plate without your knowledge, stick it on their car and run up a sh!t load of motoring offences

Any plates made without seeing docs are illegal, the makers have to keep records.

I got my pressed plates from the dubmeister stand at edition 38, I asked if I needed to provide documents, they said no and 10 minutes later I had a pair!
