Steamed up windows

having changed a matrix before, and not really wanting to do it again (yeh i know, a bit wimpy)... i chucked some k-seal in this golf, sorted the slight misting i got

I get hot air coming out of the heaters but as soon as it does come out i cant see anything lol, i have to put it on cold and wait a few mins, bit annoying lol. That guide looks confusing lol.

If the environment inside the car is hotter than that outside, then warm air will condense upon impact with cold widows.  As air/breath contains a fair bit of water (moisture) this will then fog up your windows.  You must equalise the temperaure inside the car, so open the windows and put the blower on full steam ahead.

Oh i also found that both my footwells are wet? does anyone know where it could be coming from?

Passenger side:

check that the seal around the bottom of the fresh air cover in the scuttle tray hasn't gone. Silicone seal it.

Driver side:

could be coming down the bonet release / accelerator cable(s) as the rubber grommets have shrunk with age.  Replace / silicone seal

As a precation clear the entire scuttle tray of crap.  Make sure the drain holes at either end (goes into top of wings) are clear.

think i may look into this demist spray as my windscreen eventually demists but all the other windows don treally do much which does make it near impossible to see my wing mirrors and the rear windscreen is just a lost cause

mate have a look in poundstretcher. £1 for a spray bottle of ANTI-FOG window cleaner.

I noticed my windows were fogging up in my pug 206 (it has a leaky door seal) one application of this stuff lasts a couple of months easy.

it really does work, i wouldnt suggest it, if it didnt
