Steamed up windows

Hey all

When ever i seem to turn my heating from cold to hot or even warm all my windows steam up? could this be anything to do with my leaking sunroof>?

Sounds like your heater matrix is leaking.

Warm "moist" air will condense when it comes into contract with the insides of the windows.

It's a fiddly job that requires calm, tea and plenty of breaks.

They tend to wep a bit so the hot water comes out in small amounts and pools in the bottom of the heater box. When you set the temp to warm it opens the flap to direct air through the heater box and the air that comes out is full of moisture due to the leak and therefore fogs up your windows.

There's a uide on here on how to do it. If you're local to Basingstoke I'll happily give you hand as I've done about 5 of these now.

poundstretcher do an anti-mist interior window cleaner, its a £1 and worth every penny :wink: One application lasts a couple of months easy :cool:

Do you get any HOT air into the car??

If Yes Then you're matrix might not have gone....

Open your window slightly to get some air in & buy a Pingue (think thats what its called) from Ebay it soaks any damp vapor from your sunroof leak...

As its the season of updating stickys you lads might want to see this as its helped a few members with heater issues! Winter is upon us soon so you might need to get your tools out!
Only half of the dash needs to come out!  :wink:
