Hi everyone.
Iv'e been lurking for a while and thought it was about time I joined up and shared my latest obsession with everyone.
I have recently bought a 1985 GTi 8 valve as a project and a donor car for the replacement bits I need.
Although Iv'e had many GTi's over the years ( I'm on my 10th ) I have very little experience in anything to do with restoration.
I belong to a couple of other car forums and I guess I like to get as many opinions and comments as possible in order to prevent
the silly mistakes that us dreamers make when we start pulling stuff apart.
I hope you can all drench me in useful tips
and advise to keep me on the right track.
