Ok i've been through this all to many times. I own a 1.6 gti. Yes its fast yes its quicker and always will be but its no fun! I might as well just go out and get sheep tattooed on my forehead. . . No offence guys. I just fancy a challenge. Simple as that.
I've already got a twin choke webber on it. I've also removed the old sh**ty inlet manifold and sectioned it into two and ported and polished it and welded it back together. That made hella difference.
The costs up to now are pretty low just because i've sourced a twin choke off my mate,and the manifold I did in work in my lunch hour and stayed on to weld her up
Just fancied chucking a cam in it now to see how much difference that makes. Gonna make my own exhaust system 4 into 2 into 1 when I get a spare weekend out of stainless.
