« on: 30 September 2010, 11:02 »
these are designed for dark colour cars, but the question is

where is the line in the sand for dark and light coloured cars?

basicly i was gonna use it on my mates blue fiesta st, just wondered if it'll be ok

lol blue is a dark colour unless its electric astra gsi blue ... all dark shaded colours are considered 'dark'

And, you won't damage a car by using something thats designed for light colour or dark colours ... it just says that because the product looks 'extra' special on the correct shade of colour.

I'd be more worried about applying it properly ... because problem with dark colours is, when you leave a wax on the paintwork and let it dry up to a haze, some times it leaves a shadow in the lacquer which is an absolute p!ss take to remove ... but the secret is spray a little water on it and use a bit of elbow grease. kells on this forum defo knows what im talkin about!

its purely to give a choice to the customers because we all like a choice of some sort and that obviously boosts sales, a dark wax and light wax will to some minute degree will give a slightly different finish but by no means visible to the naked eye. i love using all my different dodo waxes even though they are all very similar but i personally think they all give different levels of gloss and depth depending on the vehicle there put on.

put two layers of supernatural on the wifes white bmw last week and the gloss it gave the car was amazing, so amazing that she and my mate russ said its the best its looked in the two years shes had it, dont know wether to take that as a compliment or a critism lol.

and what about using either product on a yellow car?

i figure black hole is off the cards, would it be alright to skip the glaze and just polish, seal and wax?

and what about natty blue on yellow?

blackhole is fine on any colour
glazing isnt essential at all, polish, seal, wax is fine mate.

nattys blue is fine for any car aswell, layer it up to get the best finish from it.

i need to get some as ive run out now, nattys blue is a very good wax imo.
